DMSc, senior researcher at the Department of Chemotherapy of Hemoblastoses of the Research Institute of Children’s Oncology and Hematology of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology, Ministry of Health of Russia; associate professor at the Department of Children’s Oncology of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education, Ministry of Health of Russia.
Dr. Valiev graduated with honors from the Medical Faculty of the Ulyanovsk State University. From 2005 to 2007, he was a clinical resident at the National Hematology Research Center, Ministry of Health of Russia; from 2007 to 2009 he studied in a PhD program at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. In 2009, he successfully defended his PhD thesis; in 2015, his DMSc thesis “Current strategy for diagnosis and treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphomas in children”. In 2018 Dr. Valiev received the academic title of associate professor.
Scientific interests: diagnosis and treatment of lymphomas, histiocytic tumors in children, adolescents and young adults; targeted therapy. Dr. Valiev actively develops and implements modern therapy methods for treatment of lymphoproliferative disorders.
Dr. Valiev serves as deputy head of the Russian Society of Pediatric Oncologists, is a member of the scientific committee of the annual International Symposium on Childhood, Adolescent and Young Adult Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas; oversees Russian programs on diagnosis and treatment of lymphomas in children, has authored more than 130 scientific papers in both Russian and international publications.
